Who Are We

Are you interested in learning how to support text-based multimodal communication for nonspeaking people?

Reach Every Voice is seeking motivated candidates to apply for our Assistant Communication Teacher Internship! This position requires a commitment to ALL program aspects. Learn foundational skills to become an effective, empowered support person for nonspeaking autistic people and open the doors to a fulfilling part-time job.

Our Interns will have the ability to learn from multiple staff at Reach Every Voice as well as to observe and participate in our unique Summer Institute program, which introduces them to even more models of trained support.

This is an unpaid internship. This training is valued at over $2,500 and is being entirely sponsored by Reach Every Voice.

Dates: May 29th-July 28th 2023
- May 29th - June 19th: self-study / virtual (interns will meet virtually once per week for one hour)
- June 20 - July 28: in-person, 2 days per week: Monday & Wednesday
Training is sponsored by Reach Every Voice and requires a commitment to part-time in-person employment in the Rockville / Gaithersburg area for one year following internship completion.
Participants will be given access to the Communication for Education Self-Paced Course
Over 90 hours of hands-on training
Those who successfully complete all aspects of the training program will be eligible for an internship to become a Communication Teacher
