Accessible Academics

Accessible Academics is a self-paced, 10-module course that shows educators, parents, and therapists how to adapt grade-level curriculum for nonspeaking learners. You'll learn practical strategies for adapting reading, phonics, math, science, history, and writing while maintaining academic rigor. Each module includes video instruction and downloadable handouts you can use immediately. The course also includes a full module on IEP goals, accommodations, supplementary services, and language you can use to advocate for meaningful, age-appropriate objectives. Complete all ten modules and the required application check and earn a certificate for 5.0 contact hours (0.50 general CEUs). More than 350 educators and parents have completed this course. You'll have lifetime access to all materials.
